Tips in saving money: take bottled water and snacks with you.
I take a small backpack that has a bottle of water almost everywhere I go. When I'm thirsty I'm all set - I don't have to look for a grocery store and pay them 4 times as much what I could pay in my pharmacy.
I take snacks with me, so I don't have to waste time and money looking for a place to get a bite or be forced to buy crappy food. It saves me around $2,000 a year. Multiply it by 10 years. Cool $20,000. Not counting the interest. Sweet!
If you want to take it even further, take lunch to work once a week. Let's say $10 per lunch x 50 weeks = $500 a year. Multiply it by 10 years = $5,000! What if you took lunch to work two or three times a week? Now add the interest to that amount.
