Tip 1. Say "No" to credit protector - Paying Down Credit Card Debt
Don't get bullied into buying credit protector.
Credit card companies are trying really hard to push you into signing up for their credit protector services. Why are they trying so hard? The obvious answer is that they want to make a lot of money. A lot of money on YOU. If you carry a big balance, and you are signing up to credit protector, you'll pay a lot of money in addition to any credit card interest you might already have. Which will make paying off your debt so much harder and longer.
Unless you are under real threat of loosing your job and credit protector will pay your credit card bill while you are unemployed, or you are suspecting your identity might be stolen, I wouldn't get credit protector service.
If you decide to sign up for it, don't go for a pushed credit protector option right away. Ask what other credit protection rates they offer. They'll often have lower fees but with lower protection.
