Tip 20. Eliminate "latte factor" - Frugal Is Fabulous Tips And Ideas

Take "latte factor" seriously and save a fortune!

You may have heard about "latte factor". It's now a widely used phrase that originally came from the famous David Bach's book "The Automatic Millionaire". The book states that by skipping the daily stop for a $3-$6 coffee, you can save hundreds, even thousands of dollars, a year. I tested this approach... and it works!

I make my own coffee now. I've got myself a cheap but high quality thermos and now make Chock-full-o-Nuts coffee every time I go for a day trip or to office that doesn't provide free coffee. Savings are adding up fast!

Of course, David Bach did not mean just saving on coffee. "Latte factor" applies to all those insignificant on the first glance purchases that add up to a huge amount over the year. So what is your "latte factor"?
